Artist Statement
Art has always been a hobby of mine since childhood; it is something that came naturally. I was always one of those students who hated going to school. I was never interested in any subjects besides art, the one class that I could not wait for. It was one hour of of bliss. Besides my friends, art is what kept me in school, not saying that I would of dropped out but it kept me looking forward to something. There is such a large spectrum of art which I appreciate all forms of it. I have experience in photography, painting, drawing, and sculpting. I always found comfort and satisfaction in being able to make my imaginations tangible. Being creative allows me to escape reality and transport into my own world of solitude. My work is easily influenced by my emotions, and surroundings. I can create something by being influenced by the detailed structural design of a building, or watching the snow set on trees. It can be one simple element that can turn into a colossal idea or cause me to alter an existing one. As far as photography I enjoy taking photos of landscapes and people. Sometimes for inspiration I would listen to music or walk around my neighborhood and observe the people, street art, pretty much anything that catches my eyes. With the popularity of technology , this semester I want to learn how to apply and expand my creative skills by using different programs and sharing it with the world.
